    Grimanesa Amorós is a Peruvian-born interdisciplinary artist now living in New York. Amorós makes use of sculpture, video, and lighting to create works that illuminate our notions of personal identity and community. Light is one of her primary materials, creating presence without physicality. She uses her art as an agent for empowerment to involve viewers from all different backgrounds and communities.

    Amorós is most known for her public art, particularly her light sculptures, and has exhibited internationally in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
