Join us at Steven Wolf Fine Arts for an in depth look into the making of Wax House of Wax, an exhibition of new work by San Francisco-based artist Matt Borruso.
Borruso will discuss his studio and research projects, which combine such seemingly disparate elements as burl slabs, found objects, cast wax sculptures, and visual elements from horror films and interior design magazines. The display of these objects—set in an array of mirrors both real and metaphorical—produces an eerie modernist space haunted by a breakdown of the grid.
Wax House of Wax is on view from September 13 - October 25, 2014, Wednesday through saturday from 12pm -6pm.
